Dr John Estens is an orthopaedic surgeon with an interest in foot and ankle surgery, lower limb joint replacement, adult and paediatric trauma and clinical education.

Dr Estens achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (Orthopaedics) in Jan 2016.

 

He completed two additional clinical fellowships in foot and ankle surgery. The first of these was completed locally in Newcastle, and the second within an internationally renowned unit located in Bordeaux, France. 

 

His training in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery provides advantages for his patients in terms of less tissue disturbance, rehabilitation, and a shorter hospital stay.
